We did it! On May 8th at 4:30 am the first van left Sudbury, destination Hull. The weather was going to be warm but later cooling down making for some pretty great running conditions. Thank you to all who ran and supported us in our second Ragnar Race from Hull to P-town on May 8th and 9th!

Together we raised over $30,000!! Nicholas' Angels finished in 31:32 hrs/mins. The Ganglia Strikes Back finished in 27:22 hrs/mins. Everything went incredibly smoothly, no incidents or mishaps, apart from some 48 sore feet. Click here to see pictures of our teams from the race. Proceeds from the Ragnar Relay will allow us to place 7 - 10 floating beach wheelchairs on Boston area beaches as well as set more aside to go towards buying a beach house and converting it to a fully handicap accessible vacation rental!

Our next event is coming up fast: On May 30th the Better Together road race will spring us into summer. The race will start and end at the Curtis Middle School located at 22 Pratts Mill Road in Sudbury. REGISTER TODAY for the 5K, 10K or kids fun run! (Registry fee $30/$35 for 5K/10K and $10 for kids run.) To see a map of the 5K route click here or to see a map of the 10K route click here. Are you a special needs caregiver looking for resources?

Caring for a loved one with a disability on your own (or even with the support of the rest of the family) can be a demanding job. It's safe to say that most of us would welcome extra help. A surprising place to find some additional support is your smartphone. Apps come in all shapes and sizes, and can help lighten your load and make your everyday tasks just a little bit easier.
Looking for SMILE Mass Ambassadors and Captains

If you love to run or just like to be outside, this opportunity might be for you!

SMILE Mass is looking for Ambassadors and Captains

to participate in regional races throughout the year. Our motto is: "We run for all those who can't."

SMILE Mass Ambassadors have the privilege of enabling kids and adults with disabilities the chance to do it all! We've created a junior and adult Ambassador team. Our Ambassadors support Captains (individuals with disabilities) through an entire race, allowing them their moments of glory in finishing a road race and being part of their community-- in other words, doing what so many other families take for granted!

Click here for details about becoming an Ambassador or Captain.
