Volume 187 - Friday April 1st 2016
I should be playing some sort of April fools joke on you today.  Faking some shots of a strange new bass design, some peculiar artist link or head scratching video...but alas...I've got no tricks up my sleeve today!  Just some great playing by one of the nicest guys you could meet, Peter Maness!  Some of you might remember Peter from some ad hoc videos we did on the showroom of our old workshop.  Peter has a beautiful "legacy" model Upton Bass.

Whats a "legacy" model?  I call older Upton Basses that don't adhere to anything in our current Hero lineup a legacy model.

Uniquely American made basses with no particular school of design.  A bit French, a bit English, a bit Italian...like walking down a buffet line and taking a bit of everything that looks good to you (That piece of Lasagna you took might not go perfect with that Tempura medley you took...but it's all good when you're eating it!).  That's the way our basses were before we got all bass geeky and dove head first into honoring the different schools of making.

So, without further ado...I give you Mr. Peter Maness!
