This position is responsible for providing education and support to individuals making application for Guardianship, Trusteeship and other Co-Decision making options, of a dependent adult. This is provided through one on one support, group presentations or telephone support. This position is responsible for providing follow up services to seniors recently discharged from the Sage Seniors' Safe House program. This includes assessing needs, providing information and support and client advocacy while assisting them in becoming familiar and safe in their new community. The role of outreach includes supporting those individuals who are waiting to come into the Safe House but cannot due to space limitations and public education.

The successful candidate will hold a degree or diploma in Social Work. Experience working with older adults and/or victims of abuse is required. The position requires the ability to become registered with the Alberta College of Social Workers and a valid Driver's License with an ability to transport clients.

The University of Alberta's Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking seniors interested in sharing their medication and health experiences with pharmacy students so the students can gain experience in talking with real people about how they use their medications.
