FEATURED STUDENTS:
Witch Hazel Fifth-Graders
Students in Kim Porter's fifth-grade classroom at Witch Hazel Elementary School participated in Oregon State University's Beavers Beyond the Classroom program just before winter break. This program connects youth with the OSU women's basketball team, emphasizes the college experience, and encourages youth to excel in the classroom. While at OSU, the students attended a game and toured the grounds; for many, it was their first visit to a college or university campus.
