Thursday, January 14, is the next Women's Meeting at Nativity. Join with your sisters in Christ for lunch (bring a bag lunch) and conversation sparked by a Rob Bell DVD. All are welcome; join the group at 11:00 am in the fellowship hall.
Following the Women's Meeting on Thursday, January 14, at 12:30 pm, the Card Ministry will gather to make beautiful cards for our members on the prayer list. All willing hands are welcome and needed.

In this Sunday's Gospel we are told that Jesus "was speaking the word to them" and that "he taught them". But Mark does not add any details as to what Jesus taught on those two occasions. Instead we read of actions on the part of Jesus, which raise eyebrows and questions. The gracious power of Christ does make sense from our perspective. Thus, our perspective needs a fresh angle to grasp his teachings. As some say, it requires a paradigm shift. As Jesus explains it, "no one puts new wine into old wineskins".

Youth Group on Sunday - Cooking with Ms Dana
While some of youth are in the midst of a double rehearsal for the musical, the rest of Nativity Youth will be cooking with Ms Dana. Our meal will be enjoyed by all youth during the break between rehearsals. The menu is a secret until our young chefs receive their recipes and supplies! (Lots of fun and no one will be "chopped"!)
