A Message from the CEO

I am pleased to announce that at the FOP Presidents and Trustees Meeting in San Diego in March, the FOP Grand Lodge Board of Trustees approved our proposal to be the preferred provider of signature loans to all FOP members. Just like our auto loan program, we offer exceptionally low rates and all loans benefit the FOP Grand Lodge. See the article below for more details.

In addition to our personal loan program, NPCU offers all FOP members and their immediate families a full array of financial products and services.

Our greatly expanded credit card program offers you every possible choice from low rates, to cash back, to rewards. Additionally, none of our cards carry an annual fee and our balance transfer rates are good for the life of the balance transferred.

Our new and used auto loan rates continue to be the lowest in the country and our Write Your Own Ticket program continues to garner nationwide attention. In the next few weeks, we will also roll out a lease-like program for those of you who prefer to lease your vehicles.

If the improving housing market has you thinking about buying a new home or improving your current home, we offer a wide variety of mortgage and home equity options.

Our mobile app is getting rave reviews for its ease of use and functionality.

Our Financial Planning and Education Center is available for all of your insurance, financial planning, and debt management needs.

These are the reasons why we come to work every day and we consider it an honor to be able to continue to provide you with these valuable products and services as you provide us with the peace of mind that you are protecting the communities you serve.

We will continue to do everything that we can to support you and clearly demonstrate our appreciation for your business.

Thank you for your loyalty and support!

Jim Bedinger
CEO
Remember when your signature used to mean something?
Well, we do! And we also understand the value and integrity of that signature!

So, whether you're looking to refinance existing, high-rate debt, take a trip or tackle a home repair, we've got you covered.

But don't delay - this special rate of 3.90% is only available for a limited time.

Three Key Things To Know About This Limited Time Offer

1. When Does the Rate Expire?
While the Balance Transfer promotion ends soon, the Balance Transfer rate does not expire!  The entire balance that you transfer over will stay at the promotional rate until you finish paying it off.

2. What About Fees?
All of our cards feature no annual fees and no balance transfer fees, making this Balance Transfer promotion an outstanding opportunity to save!

3. What Will I Pay For New Purchases?
You will pay a standard, non-variable rate for any new purchases that you make with your Credit Card.  All rates are highly competitive and we pride ourselves on offering a non-variable credit card rate that won't change month-to-month.

The sooner you switch, the sooner you save!

If you already have a Credit Card with us, you can begin a balance transfer by contacting our Call Center at 844-COP-SAVE.

If you don't have a Credit Card with us yet, you can apply online at nationalpolicecu.com or by contacting our Call Center at 844-COP-SAVE.

*Additional restrictions may apply.
"Blue" Pride and Random Acts of Kindness

Individuals and businesses across the country continue coming together to show their appreciation and support of LEOs. While we promote as many of these as we can on our social media pages, following are a few that deserve extra attention:

This February, a 6-year-old brought a homemade mailbox to Portsmouth Police Department. According to the PPD, "She just finished making this beautiful mailbox at Home Depot when she asked her parents if she could fill it with treats and deliver it to the police department."

After a police dog named Krijger was shot and killed on Jan. 11 by a man who barricaded himself in his home during a standoff in Norfolk, Va., CNN's Anderson Cooper donated his speaking fees from a local lecture to outfit all of the police department's entire K-9 unit with bulletproof vests

This February, an  11-year-old-boy in Michigan asked his parents if, instead of a birthday party, he could have an appreciation event for his heroes: the men and women in blue. They granted his wish and the event was attended by over 100 officers from across the country!

This quarter marks three years since two Santa Cruz police officers were killed in the line of duty. One local bakery has honored the memories of Elizabeth Butler and Butch Baker ever since, with a weekly delivery to the Santa Cruz Police Department.

If you know of any random acts of kindness involving law enforcement, please keep us informed by emailing [email protected].  We look forward to hearing from you and sharing your stories!
Financial Spring Cleaning Checklist

As the weather warms up, it's a great time to do some spring cleaning. Don't forget to tidy up your financial affairs while you're at it!
  1. Check your credit for free by visiting www.annualcreditreport.com.  Your free report will not include your score, but it will allow you to review everything that's being reported.  Be sure to dispute anything that's being listed incorrectly.  NPCU can assist you with the dispute process.
  2. Review any bills that you have set up to automatically renew.  Do you have a gym membership that you never use or a premium music streaming service that you never log into?  Cancel anything that you don't use.
  3. Review your insurance coverage.  Make sure that the coverage you have matches your current assets and concerns.
  4. Make sure that your contact information and beneficiary listings are up to date on all accounts.

As your credit union, we look forward to assisting you in any way we can.  As you know, our Financial Planning and Education Center offers insurance options and financial planning assistance.  If you need any help with the tasks above, please feel free to contact us at 844-COP-SAVE.

Norma Aguirre

My name is Norma Aguirre and April marks my one year anniversary at the Credit Union! I am a Call Center Representative, which has given me the opportunity to learn a lot about the various offerings in a short amount of time. I have previous experience in the mortgage industry, which prepared me for the detail-oriented nature of my position. I enjoy helping people and always try to get to the root of all issues so they don't continue to occur.

Many people are surprised to find out that I'm the youngest of ten kids! All but two live close by and we get together every month for breakfast. I love being a part of such a tight-knit family. Even when we were young, we always stuck together and looked out for one another.

I hope my two kids have a similar bond through their lifetimes. They are my proudest achievements. Both of my children are doing work that they enjoy and I'm proud to say that I helped my daughter graduate from college. I made a deal with her that I would pay half of her tuition, but only if she completed her degree! My four-year-old granddaughter is the apple of my eye. She goes to a dual-language school and it's such a treat to chat with her in both English and Spanish.

When I'm not spending time with my family, I enjoy baking and crafting. I love to work with my hands and be creative!

I'm excited to take on new duties and expand my career at the Credit Union.
