Legislative Report
Although it did not pass in this year's legislative session, the NYSAR3-endorsed Paint Stewardship bill passed in the Senate. Read More about the bill's progress.

Changes Made to NYSAR3 Board

Dan Rain

Dan Rain was appointed to the NYSAR3 Board of Directors in June as an At-Large Director. Read Dan's bio. 

 

In another recent change, At-Large Director Debbie Jackson was appointed as vice president on July 14. She replaces Kat McCarthy, Chapter 7 rep, who is staying on the Board, but is stepping down as VP.

Buffalo Special Event Recycling Bins

Erie County and the Buffalo Area Recycling Alliance recently  sponsored a Municipal Recycling Summit attended by numerous officials, public works staff and highway departments. Read more about the event.

Cooperative relationships are important in Madison County - where one success story involves a 25 Year Partnership, and another recognizes the first company to take advantage of the excess heat from a jointly owned Gas-to-Energy facility.
