As always, my staff and I are here to help you with any City or Regional issues. Just send me an email to [email protected] or call 905-896-5900 and check the Ward 9 website at www.ward9.ca for ongoing updates.
WASTE CART EXCHANGE IS FREE
April 1 to April 30, 2016
By now most of you will know if your carts are the right size for your needs.
If your recycling or garbage cart does not suit your needs, you will have the opportunity to exchange your cart for a different size AT NO COST through the entire month of April 2016. Note the green organic cart cannot be exchanged as there is only one size.
Starting May 1st, 2016 the fee to exchange carts will be $25 per cart. The fee covers the cost of picking-up, cleaning, delivering and registering new carts. Cart exchanges, repairs and replacements will be completed by our contractor and delivered to your door.
I have listed below online links where you can make reports, register complaints and find information. You can also call the region at 905-791-9499.
For more information on the new cart system, click

Please note that when you place your organic bin curbside, bins must be locked.
Stormwater Billing and Residents Workshop
This is a reminder that the stormwater charge started to appear on the Region of Peel water bills for Mississauga in March 2016. Ward 9 residents will start seeing the charge on your water bills in April and May.
The total annual stormwater charge for a property will be divided into a daily rate. Each bill will show the stormwater charge for the number of days that have passed since the last billing.
Daily and annual estimates of the stormwater charge for properties are available at
www.stormwatercharge.ca.
There will also be a workshop to provide residents with an opportunity to offer feedback on potential residential credit program options.
Registration for the session scheduled for April 13 from 6:30- 8:30 pm is nearly full. A second workshop session has been added as shown below:
