"I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.  Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem." (Psalm 122:1-2)

Dear St. Paul's,

The Lord is risen!  The Lord is risen indeed!  Hallelujah! For the next 50 days, we will be soaking in the amazement and the joy of the Lord's resurrection.  As I mentioned in church on Easter, if Jesus is raised from the dead, and He is, there is no problem, no challenge, no enemy we face which is too great for the Lord.  He has already won the victory!  Just this morning, Jennifer and I were dancing around our living room shouting "Praise Jesus!"  Our neighbors, if they could see and hear us, probably thought we've finally gone completely crazy.  They may be right, but it is a fantastic lunacy.

I want to share with you that we are very excited about something else as well.  Our plans for Israel are official now, and we want you to pray hard about the possibility of joining us.  Lorne Coyle and I have worked to organize a trip to the Holy Land, which will be the trip of a lifetime.  "Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem."   We will walk where Jesus walked.  We will stay in beautiful accommodations.  We will eat sumptuous fare.  We will be led by guides who know the country and will keep us safe.  It will be amazing.

We want you on that trip with us!  Please read the details in the attached brochure and feel free to call us if you have any questions.  Lorne will be reconvening his Pilgrimage Class at the end of April.  This will be an excellent opportunity for you to begin to prepare spiritually for that trip.  Halleluja!

Gratefully in our Risen Lord,

Pr. Jon

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY UPDATE

Robin Hanson, Director of Children
& Family Ministries

SKIMMERS
The time change has given the Skimmers the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful weather and spend some time outside.

While studying Noah, we were able to go down to the beach and actually measure Noah's ark.  Imagine 450 feet long, to visually see it, it was amazing, but then to run from one end to the other really helped put it all in perspective.  Even shouting as loud as you could, you couldn't hear one another from one end to the other.  I wonder what Noah thought once all those animals were inside.  The ark probably didn't feel very big then.

The children had all heard the story of "Noah and the Ark" since they were young children.  But were they surprised to find out that Noah actually took "seven of every kind of clean animal" (Genesis 7:2)!  This of course led to a lively discussion.

The Skimmers are looking forward to seeing "Evan Almighty" following the conclusion of our study on Noah.

SUNDAY SCHOOL
The children all had a great time Easter Sunday hunting for eggs hidden around the beautiful gardens of the Garden Club.  What a joy to see all those smiling faces!

During the Easter Season the children will be hearing stories about Jesus' time on earth after the Resurrection. We will travel down the road to Emmaus, see the disciples' reactions, meet a "Doubting Thomas", and have breakfast on the beach.
