Middlesex United Way is proud to partner with Comcast and Woodrow Wilson Middle School in Middletown for Comcast Cares Day Saturday April 30 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.! We will spend the day doing beautification and educational projects at the school. We'd love for you to join us!

In 2015, more than 570 Middlesex County households received free tax preparation assistance through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

Those who qualified for refunds received
a total of $773,120 back, an average of
$1,656. An additional 223 dependents,
mostly children, were affected by this
program.

Free Tax Prep Assistance in Middletown
Households with income up to $53,000 are eligible for free tax preparation assistance now through April 12 at local Volunteer Income Tax Assistance sites, and households with income of up to $62,000 can prepare their taxes free online at myfreetaxes.com.

Study Links Kindergarten Social-Emotional Skills to Long-Term Success
A new study out of John Hopkins University, in collaboration with Baltimore Education Research Consortium, provides evidence of the high cost of entering kindergarten without important social-emotional skills.

Middlesex United Way has been investing in this work in  Middlesex County for more than a decade.
