RETHINK AGEING

Rethink Ageing will bring together delegates to learn, share, and brainstorm the key actions for advancing the pillars of the National Seniors Strategy (NSS) which was released in October 2015. For each pillar, there will be an expert panel, followed by related breakout sessions for presentations and interactive discussion. May 4 will focus on themes related to independent, active and engaged citizens; and healthy and active lives. May 5 will focus on the themes of care closer to home and support for caregivers.

The conference is also establishing an Idea Bank for implementing the NSS and individuals and organizations are invited to submit their innovative ideas, products, and initiatives for inclusion in the Conference Idea Bank.

STORE TO DOOR™ PROGRAM

Edmonton Meals on Wheels grocery shopping, delivery and shelving program called Store to Door™ is designed to provide shopping assistance to those who can't grocery shop or who don't have the support network to help them. Store to Door™ matches volunteers with clients who live within close proximity while building community and supporting independence.
