Greetings Mamas!

Some things are changing, some things are staying the same. Some of you know I sent my daughter off to college this year, my son started high school and my husband and I celebrated 26 years together. I have also been expanding my teachings - by taking Mama Tree on the road and also through some new online offerings. As I look to the year ahead I've made some changes to my schedule so I can spend more time with my family and honor the needs of this growing community so we can bring more yoga to even more mamas - plus work on some exciting projects of my own! Stay tuned...

These decisions are never easy. After over a decade of teaching prenatal yoga classes every Sunday morning to the sweet mamas at Bernal Yoga in the new year I will no longer be teaching these classes. I will miss this sweet and amazing local studio but trust that the torch will be held by Elise Collins who will continue to bring the benefits of this practice to more mamas. Read more about Elise here.

You can still join me on the mat for my classes (I still teach during the week - Monday, Wednesday & Friday, and on the weekends - Saturday mornings at Yoga Tree Valencia!) and Prenatal Partners workshops.

If you are not able to attend in person you can find my classes + NEW offerings online (details below through Udemy.com).

I look forward to seeing you, and happy new year!

Love,

Nourishing the Busy Mama
Tips by Katie Louderback, Certified Nutrition Consultant

Sometimes we feel really in control of our nutrition and there are times where that seems out of reach. Especially around the end of year. Here is one tip that will help bring some more ease into your whole system this time of year!

This Month's Tip: Pregnancy Tea  - This tea is a wonderful tonic for pregnancy and beyond as it contains many herbs including oatstraw and red raspberry leaf and many others. Oatstraw is known as a nerve tonic to help reduce anxiety and support restful sleep. Red raspberry leaf is well known to support the female hormonal cycle. You can make a batch at night and drink it throughout the day.  It's not just for pregnancy!

"Wine no Whining"
Labrinyth Walk: Thurs, January 21

Mark your calendars for the third Thursday
Starting at 11:45am at  Grace Cathedral
(1100 California Street @ Taylor in SF)

Join Jane Austin and the midwives of the Bay Area Homebirth Collective. We'll gather at 11:45 am and begin walking at noon as the bells start to ring. This is a time for quiet reflection, and a chance to put aside all the thoughts and chatter that busy our minds and distract us from connecting to our authentic selves.

Walking the labyrinth is an ideal way to actively meditate during pregnancy, and another step in preparing for birth.

Everyone is welcome to this FREE event.
How Do You Use Your WeMoon?

It's that time of year again.

For those of you who love the WeMoon datebook/calendar/journal as much as me you know this rich text is more than just a date book!  This earth-inspired handbook helps to remind me of the natural rhythms of nature and inspire me time and time again to embrace the feminine. I use my WeMoon as a journal to write my inspirations in, a way to connect back to the cycles of the moon each month and as a gratitude journal.
