Pysanka Egg Workshop
was a big hit and now an annual event!

Our first Ukrainian Egg Decorating event was a huge hit! Nearly 40 people of all ages came to design, wax, dye and celebrate egg creations of all sorts! They overcame breakages, supported and celebrated successes and enjoyed wonderful fellowship. We also decided this is a MUST every year! So, go ahead and mark your calendars for the Saturday of Easter weekend, 2017!

Greek Folk Dancing
April 10th

On the 2nd Sunday of the month at 1PM Mr. Eustathios Stratis will teach Greek Folk Dances from the various  regions of the main land & islands of the country.

This coming April 10, 2016 the focus will be on the dances of Crete, the large island in the Southern Aegean Sea where thousands of years ago the Minoan Civilization flourished. To this day elements of that "matriarchal" society still exists in the Dodecanise Islands, east of Crete, as theorized by the teacher, based on his observations during his 20 years living, working, researching & studying on the Island of Rhodes, Greece, the Capital of the Prefecture of the Dodecanise Islands in the Southeastern Aegean Sea.

Please note; children are always welcome to either participate in the class or to watch. High School & Jr. High School kids can participate with parental permission & grade school kids can participate accompanied by their parents.

Please be sure to register for these dance workshops. Registration is free and the dance workshops are free. If you'd like to make a donation please arrange it with the office. The teacher does not handle any money. Registration is essential because it will provide your contact information so we can let you know about changes &/or cancellations. Thank You.

Delia bids a fond farewell
As our interim time comes to an end, Delia Barrett was appreciated in our Sunday morning service this past Sunday, and offers this message of appreciation:

I want to thank this little white gem in the middle of Marblehead that up until two years ago I was completely unaware was a church.  I only knew it to be a coffee house on Mugford Street.  It has been an honor to have been a part of this community.  Religion at its best, accepting of every being and my witnessing the beautiful energy in the many projects that Rev Wendy and the rest of you are engaged in, truly helping others, including our animals and the earth.

The best part of my journey has been the amazing children that I've had the pleasure of working with.   I take their joyous hearts in my heart.

With sincerest love to you all, Delia Barrett, Interim DR

Ashe Namaste Yoga - Yoga is on the fourth Sunday every month BUT because of our special concert on April 24th at 3 pm yoga will be postponed. We'll post info as soon as it's confirmed!

What are daily practices that sustain us? Ashe Namaste Yoga offers yoga and movement which honors the divine in each of us. Yoga cultivates awareness through flexibility, spirituality, breath and brain. This supports a healthy lifestyle, wellness and equanimity. The last half hour of class integrates Umoja, the Dance of Abundance circle dance, integrating strength, flexibility and rhythm that will heighten a sense of wellness, vibrancy and interconnectedness. Share with others who are exploring new levels of awareness of Mind-Body-Spirit and stress reduction. This class is for everyone! Classes are 2:00-3:30 pm and $25 but a sliding scale ($5-$25) registration process is in place to accommodate financial restraints. We encourage anyone who is able to pay $25 to do so as Wyoma travels in from Dorchester and travel costs increase appropriately increase our cost to bring this wonderful program to our community. But our goal is many people attending so please do not let finances stand in the way. Take advantage of the sliding scale!

WYOMA is a certified yoga instructor from the Sivananda Yoga Vendanta Centre in Montreal, Quebec. She has taught yoga for over 40 years and now blends a variety of classical yoga styles. She is also a holistic coach and creator of the African Healing Dance.

David Mallett
Friday, April 1

On Friday, April 1, we welcome David Mallett, one of the "most memorable Mainers" of all time to its stage. According to folk music critic, Scott Alarik, Mallett is "always compelling, always musical . . . there is something about his phrasing that lends an urgency and boldness to his song. His deep, clear voice has a storyteller's naturalness to it, a poet's intelligence." How can anyone not love his "Garden Song" (inch by inch, row by row, gonna make this garden grow)?   Kyle Morgan, another talented Mainer, opens the show for Mallett. You may remember Kyle from his outstanding performance at last year's "All You Need is Love" Beatles benefit at UUCM.

Coming on April 8: Stephen Kellogg and Anthony D'Amato
