- Recommended regulatory reforms to LSP Board of Registration, including:
-Reduction of required LSP credits from 48 to 36 for parity with similar professions -Ability to carry over LSP continuing education credits in 6 month period -Electronic renewals and payments -Substantial revisions to disciplinary process
- Provided comments to MassDEP on draft LNAPL guidance and the interim draft reclamation soils policy, and input on practice issues, including telemetry systems
- Met with MassDEP Commissioner and legislators regarding updating the LSP Board of Registration statute
- Testified before legislative committees on five bills: two directly impacting LSPs, one on brownfields tax credits, and two on waiving MCP compliance fees for municipalities
- Met several times each with the Senate and House Chairs of the Committee on Environment, Natural Resources, and Agriculture to discuss issues that affect our practice
- Filed an amicus brief in response to a request from the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court
- Spoke at three meetings of the MA Health Officers Association and the MA Association of Health Boards
- Delivered presentations to students and professors at area universities to foster next generation of environmental consultants and LSPs
- Planned and coordinated with fellow organizations in Connecticut (EPOC), New Jersey (LSRPA), and one being formed in Colorado
