We are delighted to be able to announce the writing workshops at the 2016 West Cork Literary Festival in July. This is the only Literary Festival in Ireland which features 5 day workshops and presents a wonderful opportunity for aspiring writers to learn from high profile writers and tutors.

West Cork Literary Festival - A Celebration of the Written Word within the Spectacular Landscape of the Wild Atlantic Way
- It has welcomed such writers, broadcasters and public figures as Mary Robinson, Michael Parkinson, Graham Norton, Michael Palin, Annie Proulx, David Nicholls, Nick Davies, Melvyn Bragg and Michael Holroyd
- A full programme of readings, seminars, lectures, panel discussions, book launches and keynote speeches take place from morning to late night in venues throughout the seaside town of Bantry
- Maritime-themed events including a workshop and readings on Whiddy Island
- A vibrant children's festival presents writing and arts & craft workshops as well as readings from popular children's writers. These have included Anthony Horowitz, Michael Morpurgo, Darren Shan and Francesca Simon
- The region offers fantastic walking on the Sheep's Head Way and Beara Peninsula as well as a wealth of activities on land and sea. The remote Beara Peninsula boasts one of the oldest mythological antiquities in Ireland - the Cailleach Beara - as well as many sites of archaeological interest and the only cable car in operation in Europe.
