Succession Planning:
Real World Stories on Main Street
Learn more about succession planning from Clayton Wendt, Sunbelt Business Brokers, at the next installment of the Small Business Forum.

Every small business will eventually have to transition to a new leader.  About one-third will go to a family member or long-time employee.  Another third to a vendor or competitor.  And the last third to an outside buyer not known to the business prior to the deal.

No matter which plan you choose, you need to consider nearly the same critical issues.  We will discuss:
1. How to be sure you will realize the proceeds you need to fund your next phase of life.
2. How to protect the business from damage caused by the transition or worse, the rumors of transition.
3. How to be sure the new leader has the skills and values needed to assure success and protect your name and employees into the future.

The most simple message is the most powerful:
I enthusiastically support the construction of the soccer stadium and the tax abatement that make it possible. Please support SF 3241.
Please add your own messages about why you support the stadium.

Reasons may include:
-It will make major league soccer possible in Minnesota.
-This will bring people from all over the state to games in Saint Paul.
-It will help drive the economic revitalization of the Midway.
-It will drive millions of dollars in private investment.
