Katy ISD Board of Trustees Approves 2016-2017 Attendance Boundary Modification
 
Last night, during their regular monthly meeting, the Katy ISD Board of Trustees voted to approve an attendance boundary modification (ABM) designed to address the opening of three new campuses and alleviate overcrowding at campuses landlocked with 125 percent capacity.

This ABM will provide much-needed relief to Rylander and West Memorial elementary schools, as well as balance enrollment as the District prepares to open two elementary schools and one junior high next school year. Read more...
Katy ISD Campus Teachers of the Year Honored at Brick Unveiling

Katy ISD, along with Venus Construction, Rover Oaks Pet Resort and the Katy Heritage Society, celebrated the 2015 Katy ISD Campus Teachers of the Year last week at a special brick unveiling at Katy Heritage Park. For the past several years, Venus Construction, Rover Oaks and the Katy Heritage Society have come together to dedicate bricks in honor of the Katy ISD Campus Teachers of the Year, and place them in the walkway at Katy Heritage Park. Katy Tiger Football Team Heads to State

The Katy Tigers are heading to the 6A Division II State Championships after their 38-0 win over Cibolo Steele last Saturday. The Tigers will take on the Lake Travis Cavaliers on Saturday, December 19 at 8 p.m. at NRG Stadium for a chance at their eighth state championship. Read more...
Katy ISD Police Department Helps Students in Need through Santa Cops Program
 
This year, 565 children from Katy ISD elementary schools will have a brighter holiday thanks to the Katy ISD Police Department's Santa Cops program. The 11-year-old program was created in response to a need recognized by the Police Department and school employees. Read more...
Community Invited to Support Teacher Grants
 
The Katy ISD Education Foundation is inviting parents, businesses and community members to contribute to its teacher grant initiative by becoming a Foundation Investor or making a one-time donation. The Foundation's annual Inspiring Imagination teacher grant program awards funds to teachers to implement classroom projects that engage and excite Katy ISD students. Read more...
Katy ISD Winter Break
 
All Katy ISD campuses and facilities will be closed from December 21-January 1. District offices will reopen on Monday, January 4, and classes will resume on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. Click here to view Katy ISD's 2015-2016 Instructional Calendar.
 
Katy ISD Parent and Patron Assistance Center

The Parent & Patron Assistance Center (PPAC) is a confidential resource that serves the Katy ISD community by helping to address concerns, complaints, conflicts and other school-related issues in an informal manner on behalf of the Superintendent. The Coordinator is available to listen to and analyze problems; identify and explain relevant District policies and procedures; and explore options for parents and patrons.
