Mi-shebeirakh Update
On Monday, Thursday and Shabbat mornings we are currently reading the names of approximately 150 people in Hebrew and English - a list that might unknowingly include those who have recovered, are chronically ill, or have passed away. It is necessary to begin a new list periodically for this reason. A new list will start on November 30. Names from the current list will be removed. If you would like to retain any current names or include new names of friends and family members who are ill  on this new list, please contact Danielle by November 16 at 268- 4200, ext. 115 or email her at [email protected]. Adult Library
Ambassador Dennis Ross is coming the the JCA on October 29th to speak about  the the relationship between Israel & the United States. If you want to get  some background information before his visit, we have a wealth of books &  magazines that can help you be informed.  Many of the magazines we have (for  you to adopt) also have information about life in Israel, world  events that involve Israel, and also events in the United States and how Jews  in this country live. Some of the magazines, such as Hadassah, have tours of  American and foreign cities that have, or had, Jewish influence. There is also  a collection of Biblical Archaeology that documents finds in the State of  Israel and some items from antiquity.  Our volunteer librarians, Elaine Furman and Wendy Honigman, hope you find our library a  worthwhile endeavor for the entire congregation and encourage you to borrow or browse.

The Jacksonville Jewish Center is proud to be considered one of the leading Conservative congregations in North America. Whether we are singing and celebrating Shabbat together, sitting down to explore the insights and profound wisdom found in our Torah text, or gathering with members of our congregation to make a difference in our community, we are a congregational family dedicated to deepening and enriching our connection to Judaism. The Jacksonville Jewish Center is in the heart of Jacksonville's dynamic Jewish Community. We are fortunate to have a beautiful campus on 35 acres in a park like setting that our Camp Ki Tov utilizes, featuring ball fields, basketball courts, a full swimming facility, camp grounds and more!  Our Galinsky Academy is the umbrella for the Bernard and Alice Selevan Religious School, The DuBow Preschool, Setzer Youth Education, and the Martin J. Gottlieb Day School. We offer an exceptional Sisterhood and Men's Club Program and an award winning United Synagogue Youth Program.
