Putting the Power in Your Hands
V2V Infographic
In March, we introduced you to Viewers to Volunteers TM (V2V), the innovative digital platform from CBS EcoMedia that gives anyone the power to support Fisher House... for free.

Now it's with great excitement that we announce the unveiling of the full V2V platform, along with Volunteering with the Stars TM, the exciting initiative that allows you and your favorite CBS stars to share in the experience of giving back.

Beginning today, Viewers to Volunteers is available as an app, and you can use it in a whole new way! Every time you read, watch, and share the inspiring stories on V2V, you'll earn points. Direct those points to Fisher House and, thanks to the underwriting advertisers, they'll turn into real dollars that we can use to help support military families.

Please download the app from the App Store or Google Play today.

If you don't have a smartphone, you can still enjoy the Viewers to Volunteers  experience, and support our work at:  viewerstovolunteers.com.

We know you'll find the V2V experience to be entertaining, meaningful, and worthwhile; we hope you'll return often, and encourage your colleagues, friends, and family to do the same.

Hearts Behind the House

Joseph Krebs, who lives in Chiang Mai, Thailand, travels to Washington DC's VA hospital for treatment for a blood disorder that lasts anywhere from 5-6 months, during which he stays at the Fisher House. Krebs, 82, was the youngest staff sergeant in the Marine Corps during the Korean War.  He later joined the Army Reserve and retired as a colonel.

"I come all the way to the VA here because I know all my doctors.  It's just superb care, that's why I come.  But I don't know what I would do without a Fisher House.  I either wouldn't be able to come, or we would have to stay in an expensive hotel for six months, I guess.  Fact is, this old Korean vet just doesn't have that kind of money," said Krebs.

Run, Walk, or Roll
by Stacey Faris

7,000 boots stretch for miles. They stand in formation just as their Fallen once did. They honor those lost to war through pictures and words. This is what Theresa Johnson's Fisher House Run, Walk, and Rolls have become: A story told through boots, miles walked and connections made.

What started in 2012 on Pearl Harbor's historic Ford Island as a "Run, Walk or Roll" meant to honor a fallen family friend and spread the word about Fisher House has now blossomed into four separate events, each with their own display of 7,000+ boots and hundreds of volunteers.

Read Theresa's story and how you can help.
