Letter From The Owner:
Go Green

Spring is a time of the year for new things and I thought it would be a good time to show off some of the nice things of our new client portal. I am pretty old fashioned and I used to pay everything by check in the mail. In the last year I started using vendor websites to pay bills mainly because I am cheap and didn't want to pay for postage. I also hated to have all that paper from the bills laying around. Once I started doing this I was amazed at how much more quickly I can pay all of my personal bills and how easy it is. I keep a file on my desktop of vendors (Alabama power, Alagasco, etc.) with vendor name, website, username, and password. Then the first of the month I go down the list logging in to each website and paying each bill and after 10 minutes I am done. No checks, no licking envelopes, no running to the mailbox. All of my receipts get emailed back to me, easy peasy.

With that said I would like to show everyone how easy it is to use our online portal and some of its features. To login visit our website, www.wilsoncomputer.com, and click on the link at the top middle "Client Login".

From there you can "Request Access" if you have never logged in (you will get setup in 2 business hours or less), "Forgot password?" if you forgot what your password is (it emails you to change it), or login with your username and password.

Once logged in the easy to use screen allows you to "Pay Bills", "Setup Auto-Pay", view/create "Service Tickets" or even "Pay Selected Invoices." It is even easy to see on the right hand side Current Balance, Past Due Invoices, and Open Service Ticket Count. Just select what you are looking to do and it is very simple to use. We accept all credit cards including American Express and we also accept online checks. Using checks online is as easy to use as entering your routing number and account number. The best part is we partnered with ConnectBooster to process your transactions and they store your payment information encrypted on their server (we never have your payment information) and you don't have to enter it over and over again. It is as easy to use as any other vendor's website.

I also wanted to show you how easy it is to create a new service ticket.

Again we are not trying to push anyone to do anything they do not want to do and we are happy to take any problems you have or payments you send any way that you want to but if you have started using online accounts you will see our system is very easy to use and clients that have switched to it like it much better than having to contact the office.

Since we are talking some about financials I briefly wanted to mention a financial service that I have been amazed at how much it helps me. It's called Mint and you can find it at www.mint.com . Mint installs on your iPhone or Android phone and it is completely free. You put the login for any of your financial institutions in and it shows you your transactions as they go through and your current balances. I am able at a quick glance know exactly where I am at financially and what transactions have gone through. The best part is that it is completely free.

Thanks again,

Allan Wilson

Introducing: The August Smart Lock

Our office has been buzzing about one of the coolest pieces of technology to come out in home improvement. The August Smart Lock has digitalized the lock and key. Through the use of your cell phone's Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) you can: hand out virtual keys to anyone in your contact list, restrict the time and day you grant entry, and view a log of all your entries. This technology is compatible with Apple, Android, Blackberry, and soon Windows 8 phones. From August.com:

"August removes no pre-existing mechanical functionality of your deadbolt, it only adds intelligent features. This means that you can still use your physical keys and you can still manually unlock or lock your door from the inside".

For $199 you can get one of these locks delivered straight to your door. Installation requires only a screwdriver.

If you ever need help setting one up, give us a call!
