Bergamot essential oil is almost exclusively grown and produced in Southern Italy. This exceptional oil is close to my heart since my ancestry is from there. My mother and family grew up with the refreshing aroma of bergamot wafting throughout the "campagna" (countryside). In November 2015, I visited the region of Reggio Calabria, where Bergamot has become a symbol of this whole area. Bergamot is harvested mainly to produce the essential oil. The fruit, which resembles a miniature grapefruit, comes from a tree which grows all around the Southern peninsula. It has an intense zesty and spicy fragrance and often promoted as having antiseptic, anti-fungal and digestive properties. Its aroma is so pleasant, that it inspires happiness. With production beginning toward the end of November, Your Body Needs'...bergamot will be ready for sale shortly in the New Year. It will be fresh and literally off the pressing machine.
