Staff prepare to lead volunteers to decorate CHP buildings for the holidays

December 2014

December is an important month for us. In the last few weeks, we celebrated the first residents moving into Edward II, our newest building for youth ages 18-24 at risk of homelessness. Many have aged out of foster care with nowhere to go, and Edward II provides a supportive environment for tenants to relaunch their lives. Read more

For many of our clients recovering from homelessness, it is a difficult time of year. That is why we are especially appreciative of the outpouring of support that we see from our community. Lonzel's video has been shared across the web, and many viewers have posted supportive messages on Facebook. Dozens of volunteers have given their time to make our holiday programs successful. Staff members have worked extra hard to provide top-quality service to our clients. Generous donors have contributed to vital programs.

Please consider making a donation to Community Housing Partnership today. Your support will empower families, children, seniors, and individuals in San Francisco to recover from homelessness and rebuild their lives.

On behalf of all of us at Community Housing Partnership, we thank you for your support and wish you a safe and happy holiday season.

Best,

Gail Gilman
Executive Director

Getting Involved in December

Dozens of volunteers from Zendesk, Adroll, Zoosk, and One Kings Lane came to bring festive cheer to more than 700 tenants in 8 CHP buildings. Many groups worked together with staff and tenants to decorate lobbies and common spaces. Photos

We welcomed old volunteers, new faces, and board members in early December to help us with our holiday efforts. Together we assembled our mailers and organized a phone-a-thon for our end of year campaign. Thank you!!
