4.5-24.0GHz GaAs Double Balanced Mixer


The MM1-0424S from Marki Microwave is a high linearity passive double balanced GaAs MMIC mixer with an S diode that offers superior 1dB compression, two-tone intermodulation performance and spurious suppression to other GaAs MMIC mixers. Traditionally hybrid mixers built with Silicon Schottky diodes have had the advantage of multiple diode levels, so with different turn on voltages, designers have been able to determine their own trade-off between LO drive power and desired P1dB, IIP3 and spurious suppression.

Marki now offers GaAs MMIC mixers with multiple options for LO drive level. These double balanced mixers have excellent performance, including LO-RF isolations of nearly 50dB. The addition of multilevel diode options makes these mixers even more flexible and attractive to system designers.

The initial mixers offered with the new diode levels are the MM1-0424SCH, MM1-0424SSM, and the MM1-0424SS, corresponding to a bare chip, surface mount and connectorised module respectively. These mixers have the same high isolation and low conversion loss as other Marki GaAs Mixers but with a 5dB improvement in P1dB and IIP3.
QFN Surface Mount Mixers

In addition to the MM1-0424SSM, Marki has developed an additional four MMIC surface mount mixers in standard diode level formats. These mixers are available in a 3x3mm QFN package with commercial standard layout, making them form-fit replacements for a number of alternative MMIC mixers .
