Stateless, GOHAR DASHTI's most recent series of photographs, offers an outlook on citizenship and homeland that is especially timely in light of the current refugee crisis in Asia, Africa, and Europe.

The exhibition will be shown at Robert Klein Gallery @ Ars Libri (500 Harrison Ave), beginning with a SoWa First Friday reception this Friday, January 8, 2016, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. The artist will be present.

Dashti's work is in the collections of Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Victoria & Albert Museum, London; and Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City, among other museums and universities around the world.

Her first solo museum exhibition, Gohar Dashti, Selected Works , is at Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, Tampa, through June 1, 2016. Her work is also in a traveling group show, She Who Tells a Story, which will be at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C., from April 8 to July 31, 2016.
