The CAM offices will be closed this holiday season beginning on Thursday, December 24th, and will reopen on Monday, January 4th.

Now is the time to reserve your booth for the 2016 CAM Construction & Design Tradeshow! Space is going quickly - 75% of the booths have been reserved at this time, but choice spots are still available.

This one-day construction event will be held at MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit on  Wednesday, February 3, 2016. It will be attended by construction owners, contractors, suppliers, architects and engineers. Show hours are 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.

The event will also host the CAM 130th Annual Meeting, CAM Magazine Special Issue Awards, and 2015 Construction Project of the Year Award, which will be held inside the Sound Board. CAMTEC, the training and education division of CAM, will offer classes during the tradeshow, as well.

Join CAM for our first CAM Connect marketing event of 2016: Thursday, January 21 at Lily's Seafood in Royal Oak, from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm. 

This promises to be an evening of great networking, food and drink, and fundraising for the CAM Construction Scholarship. Last year we raised over $700 for this worthy cause!

In 2016, CAM will celebrate its 65th Annual Men's Doubles Classic bowling tournament. This event is a tradition that countless avid bowlers enjoy. Please mark your calendars and be sure to join us in February!

aspcspASP / CSP Comprehensive Prep Workshops - January 2016

ASP Workshop (Prep for Fundamentals Exam): January 25 - January 27, 2016

CSP Workshop (Prep for Comprehensive Exam): January 28 - January 30, 2016

Presented by Langlois, Weigand & Associates, Inc. and hosted by the Greater Detroit Chapter of the ASSE (American Society of Safety Engineers).

Each three-day review course is specifically designed for those preparing for the Safety Fundamentals Exam (ASP prep) and/or the Comprehensive Exam (CSP prep). Both tests must be passed in order to receive BCSP designation as a Certified Safety Professional.

Classes will be conducted from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm each day at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum, located at: One Chrysler Drive, Auburn Hills, 48326 ( http://www.wpchryslermuseum.org).

Registration Fees (December 5. 2015 - January 3, 2016):
ASP or CSP Review Workshop (ASSE Member) $700
ASP or CSP Review Workshop (Non-ASSE Member) *$800

*All Non-ASSE Members Fees include a FREE one-year membership in ASSE

If fewer than 10 registrations are received by January 3, 2016, the workshop(s) may be cancelled.

dmaibachCAM Member Doug Maibach Awarded the Community Builder Award by Habitat for Humanity Oakland County

Barton Malow Company is proud to announce that Doug Maibach, chairman of Barton Malow Enterprise and executive vice president of Barton Malow Company, was honored  with Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County's Community Builder Award. The award was presented at Habitat's Extravaganza on November 19th at The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham. 

It is in recognition of  Detroit-area philanthropy and civic leadership. Maibach has been a passionate and prominent leader in both  of these areas throughout his career. He has exemplified what "community building" is all about both  professionally and personally, and has served as a sensitive and committed community member for  organizations including the Woodhaven Retirement Community; the Apostolic Christian Church of Livonia; United Way; Habitat for Humanity; the American Heart Association; ACE Mentor; and the Children's Center of  Detroit. Maibach is a 31-year veteran of Barton Malow Company, and also serves as the Board Liaison for the  Barton Malow Company Foundation.

Barton Malow Company commends Doug on his ongoing commitment to community service and building, and congratulates him  on this prestigious and well-deserved honor.
