  GREETINGS

With another year passing, we look back at all that happened in 2015 and wish you all wonderfully successful and fulfilling 2016.

For everyone with an interest in art, be it as a collector, artist or general enthusiast, last year is to be remembered for the sheer number of thought-provoking gallery and museum exhibitions; opportunities to discover new artists and works at Biennales and Fairs; participation in festivals and of course those very personal moments when a work of art truly moved us.  For me, the highlight was being invited to the opening of the Yinchuan Museum of Contemporary Art in China, offering the opportunity to discover an incredibly different perspective on art from the Middle East.

With regard to JRFA, amongst a wide range of activities, we were delighted that many of our artists were acquired by museum collections, such as Fereydoun Ave by LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) and Nasser Al Aswadi by the IAMM (Islamic Art Museum of Malaysia).  Next year, we have exciting plans for a new website and a varied exhibition programme and of course more newsletters.

We look forward to the coming months and have a very happy New Year !

With best wishes from all at JRFA
