OVBI Technology Team Wins the Code for India Hackathon
More than 300 people in India and USA submitted over 100 projects in the Code for India Hackathon that took place on September 26/27 at Google Headquarters in Palo Alto, CA and in New Delhi simultaneously.
OVBI's technology team lead by Ravi Kumar won this prestigious competition through their VBI ConnectApp - a user friendly app connection volunteers.
This solution helps connect NGOs with people who want to help; team collaboration via Hangouts; increase efficiency of volunteers and their projects; meaningful insights and visualizations to help them demonstrate their work during fundraisers or for resource planning.
Curently Art of Living's Jal Jagruthi project in Maharshtra is using this app. The event coincided with PM Modi's visit to Silicon Valley who also stopped by at the hackathon.
