A little extra help to find what you're looking for along the trails is always useful when you're planning your trip.  We have Google maps of the Great River State Trail and the La Crosse River State Trail that show lodging, campgrounds, parking, bike repair & rental, and (ever important) bathrooms.

The 400 Trail friends have a printable map of amenities as well.
Will to Ben Bike Tour
Visit the 30 foot statue of Ben Bikin' at the end of the Will to Ben Bike Tour and his brother Will B. Rolling at the start.
A favorite stop off the Elroy-Sparta Bike Trail is Ben Bikin', a 30' statue in Sparta, WI.  Ben's twin, Will B. Rolling, is located in Port Byron, IL and was the perfect reason for a fall bike tour.

The Will to Ben Bike Tour is the only bi-state bicycle tour through the driftless region in the beautiful colors of early fall and will be one of the most challenging in the Midwest. You can cycle for 6 days and cover approximately 300 miles,  with additional routes available at stopping  towns for the cyclist that wants more,
for up to 450 miles of routes.  Overnight indoor & outdoor camping style lodging, breakfast, snacks and support provided to registrants of the bike tour.

Whether you are a recreational cyclist looking for a sense of accomplishment or an athlete looking to challenge yourself and improve your cycling skills, Will B. Rolling to Ben Bikin' Bike Tour has something for you. You'll gain a new level of satisfaction and self confidence as you ride with new friends along the way!

Don't Take Our Word For It

Nobody is a better advocate for the trails than the people who ride them.  The Bike4Trails system is proud to have great ratings of all four trails on Trail Link by the Rails to Trails Conservancy.  Check out what other bicyclists have to say.

The trails are compacted crushed limestone with low grades, good for mountain bikes or road bikes.
Great trails for the entire family!

State bike passes are required to ride the trails for those 16 and older.  Hiking the trails is free.
