SOUTH CAROLINA FIREFIGHTER DIES IN THE LINE OF DUTY AFTER COLLAPSING AT SCENE
Burton Firefighter/EMT and Marine Corp Veteran Stuart Hardy died peacefully today surrounded by family and fellow firefighters. On September 13 th   at 12:06pm Firefighter Hardy responded to his last alarm.   Hardy, 31 years old, suffered a medical emergency and collapsed while at the scene of a vehicle accident. Hardy was assisted by Burton fire personnel and Beaufort County EMS on scene. He was taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital and was later flown to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC where he was listed in critical but stable condition until his passing.
