WooHoo.....let's sit in the peanut gallery of the Parliament tomorrow......voting on not one but two important laws.....(See Article Below)   Investment Law.....AND.....the Anti-Money Laundering Law....stellar on their part if they pull it off....then the cherry on top of this ice cream soda is the presence of PM Abadi in Parliament.....

A reschedule of his cancelled visit from last Thursday that was postponed as he put one foot inside the Parliament then had to leave for "emergency reasons".......oh do tell

Will he be handing out pink slips to Parliament members who have over stayed their welcome by not showing up for the dance each week......or is he going to roll those corrupt heads out of Parliament.....

Or maybe just tell them we are transitioning to a democratic process and as a result your services will no longer be needed in their current capacity.....but if you are an honest bloke we might have room for you in our new Congress.....who knows.....maybe he just wants to visit.   Aloha   Randy

UU6806 - " Is Iraq Now Ready For The RV?"  Part 2 of 2

He urged the Attorney Jawad al-Bolani to give the private sector a chance to be among the circles the Authority to achieve partnership with the public sector and to achieve economic benefits.

He said MP Adnan al-Janabi said the federal system is based on the sharing of power and money, noting that the Constitution wanted the upper body was to monitor federal revenues to oversee the distribution of wealth to the center and the regions and provinces, adding that the intended experts are representatives of regions and provinces in the body.

He suggested MP Farhad can customize the Vice-Chairman of the Authority instead of one deputy and that the bill includes determining academic achievement for President or Vice President.

Aggiedad77:   WELL, WELL, WELL.....it would seem the COM (Council of Ministers) was overly busy today.....(See article below) they approved the cancellation of the VP and Vice PM positions....

But to me just as important, maybe more so.... they approved the withdrawal of all laws directed to Parliament by the previous government (Maliki) basically making those efforts null and void.....

And look just after that.... they approved a mechanism for payment for stalled projects or projects that were lagging due to lack of funds.....interesting to say the least this last effort.....

Coming at at time when liquidity was an issue....but remember all the funds that have been flowing back into Iraq.....back into the banks from the thievery and corrupt efforts that have been nailed by the Integrity Commission.....one good deed begets another.

Consciously Choosing a Positive Attitude

Do you consciously choose your attitude each day? If you're like most people, probably not. Most of us tend to let our circumstances choose our attitude for us.

We're in a good mood as long as we get up on time, the kids cooperate and get to school on time, the car starts without a problem, we don't encounter any traffic jams on the way to work, the boss doesn't yell, our workload is manageable, etc.

This system can work fine as long as everything runs smoothly in our lives.

But that's not always the case, is it? Situations don't always adhere to our expectations. Accidents happen. Delays happen. Spouses and bosses can be difficult to please. Vehicles break down. Kids may resist our efforts to keep the schedule running smoothly.

What happens to our attitude then? If we don't make the effort to consciously choose a positive attitude, we run the risk of developing a negative one at random.

chattels: There is a danger in over simplifying the meaning and intent of the demonstrations ongoing in Iraq. For a good discussion of the social and political dynamics attendant to same, see Iraqis protest corruption, lack of services while politicians blame everyone but themselves Read more: www.al-monitor.com/pulse/...

chattels: The ongoing protests in Iraq have brought together religious, civilian, secularist, communist and other communities. They all seek to reform the system and eradicate corruption within the Iraqi government. It seems that religious slogans and figures, especially Sistani, are exploited to attack the protests in order to create a rift between the protesters.

There are 2 specific dates for the " RV" that they know and we don't yet.

This week has one and I would say the 17th/18th. The Iranian Rial was to be reinstated by the 18th.

A vote in Congress was to be scheduled but I believe that is a done deal ...but we wait to see.

Gertrude of Arabia: The 'Queen of the Desert' Who Dreamed Up Iraq

She was a pistol-packing linguist, cartographer, kingmaker-and soon, a Nicole Kidman subject. In 'A Woman in Arabia,' a fresh look at the trailblazing Gertrude Bell, in her own words.

Last month in a fascinating review of Kate Bolick's memoir Spinster, Briallen Hopper called for a redefinition, even a celebration of the word "spinster."

Citing eminent spinsters of yore, including Jane Austen, Emily Dickinson, Elizabeth I, Flannery O'Connor, Louisa May Alcott, Jane Addams, and Harper Lee, Hopper argues the true definition of a spinster is a woman who chooses independence above all else.
