A Word from the General Manager

Good day friends of the Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce:
I hope everyone thoroughly enjoyed their summer. It's been a great few months with great weather. The ACC is hosting a number of events over the next few weeks including the First Peoples Economic Growth Fund Luncheon on September 23rd which will showcase success stories from First Nation Business owners within our membership who received assistance from FPEGF. They are doing some great things over at First Peoples for First Nation businesses. Be sure to register for this event!
Another event that we are hosting along with the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce is the "Understanding Urban Reserves" Luncheon at the RBC Convention Centre on October 8th. For more information on this event please visit  the link

We are enjoying our new location at Room 208 -1075 Portage and welcome new tenants to the building as renovations continue. Peguis Investments is doing a fantastic job of preparing the space for the new tenants. Those of you who have not been to our new space, please take the time to come down and check it out!
The Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce continues to grow as we welcome new members on a weekly basis. Please continue to send Aboriginal businesses our way to sign up as members. Your support is appreciated.
Darion Smith, our summer student, has now completed her employment with us and Amanda and I are very sad to see her leave. She was very helpful and worked diligently at our office over the summer. She's a very intelligent young lady who will do amazing things in her career and as she continues her studies.
Thank you to everyone for your continued support of the ACC  and remember, slow down at school zones!

Gloria Spence,
General Manager
