Pinewood Derby Championship
Scouts takeover "Crossroads of the World"
On June 27th, the 1st Annual World Championship Pinewood Derby brought GNYC Cub Scouts together with fellow Cubs from around the country to compete for "World Champ" bragging rights. Nearly 700 Scouters gathered at the Crossroads of the World from states as far away as Tennessee, Maine, Arizona and California.
Scouters enjoyed a day of Pinewood racing, received giveaways and were entertained by the USO Show Troupe and a magician. Some Pinewood Champions also got the opportunity to get showcased on nationally televised
Fox & Friends. It was truly an amazing experience for local and visiting Scouts alike.

This summer, GNYC introduced Day Camps across the boroughs.
