It has been an exciting spring watching new buildings pop up and other facilities being upgraded at Ten Mile River Scout Camps. The most exciting progress has been on the Billy and Keith Johnson Scout Center in Camp Aquehonga pictured above. This building is really starting to take shape and will be up and running soon. We also have a new shotgun range at Camp Keowa, new roofs going on in family camp, and new latrines at Camp Ranachqua all of which are being used to enhance the experiences of you and all of our scouts at TMR.
We are looking forward to growth across our programs and another banner year for attendance this summer, but there is still room for you to join us. If you are looking for a truly unique opportunity, consider one of the specialty camps that we offer provisionally. These camps range from Eagle camp (working on Eagle required merit badges) to aquatics and aviation. If you have questions about camp this summer or want to sign up please contact us at 212-651-3073 or email.
See you at Camp!

When a flag has been flown proudly but becomes worn to a condition in which it should no longer be raised to represent this nation, it is appropriate to retire that flag respectfully over a campfire at dusk.
Pouch Ranger Gil Schweiger and his team retired over one thousand American Flags as part of a Friday night ceremony in advance of Flag Day on June 14th.
