Answer to Today's Dos & Don'ts
"Should behavioral assessments be taken before or after you interview a candidate?"
Answer
There is not a right or wrong answer . . . either way is acceptable. Yet, assessments results are more valuable when received prior to an interview for two reasons. One, if the candidate's results do not meet your guidelines, then you don't waste valuable time interviewing them. Second, the assessments results can be used to target interview questions that address behaviors that may adversely affect performance on the job.
