2016 Student and Counselor Day 

Students and counselors who are interested in the agriculture industry are invited to attend the Michigan Agri-Business Association's 2016 Student and Counselor Day Event!  Parents, educators, and administrators are also invited.  These guests are allowed to attend any conference session on Tuesday, January 12^th, 2016, and are recommended to attend the designated high school and counselor sessions on the attached agenda.

There is no industry more important to our communitites and country than the agriculture and food industry.  Studies show there are approximately 29,300 students expected to earn degrees in traditional agriculture and life science-related fields each year, and an estimated 54,400 jobs CREATED annually in the agricultural, food and natural resources sectors.  This leaves a demand of an additional 25,000 jobs in ag related fields to be filled each year.  Additionally, agriculture and natural resources ranked #5 in the highest paying degrees in 2015, according to USA Today.  These statistics prove the future job outlook is very bright for ag students.  Please join us on Janurary 12th to learn more!
