Am I wrong about this? The era we live in seems very negative. Look at the media. Open a newspaper. Listen to the political debates. Another election season is just getting started. What are the candidates saying? "Everything is wrong with America because "so-and-so" is in office. I, on the other hand, am such a talented, wonderful, and humble person. Elect me and I will fix everything."
Thanksgiving Day is, after all, just around the corner. In our family we had a different kind of tradition. Every year we gathered in the dining room. But before anyone could eat, my father asked each of us to talk about one thing that made us feel thankful. I remember how we teenagers would roll our eyes. How corny! Please don't make us do this. A Joyful witness at the National Cathedral

There was a moment during the installation of Presiding Bishop Michael Curry when I thought the St. Thomas' Gospel Choir of Philadelphia was just going to lift us on up to heaven. They were singing Total Praise, and in the program booklet the short song ended simply with "Amen."
It was the most moving, soaring, transcendent "Amen" I have ever heard sung.

At 5am every morning you will get a message in your email inbox, with a meditation from a Brother with a word and a picture. Thousands of people will be sharing their personal images in response to the daily meditations.

The Episcopal Urban Caucus Assembly is coming to the Diocese of Delaware
Wednesday, March 2 - Saturday, March 5
This will be an excellent time to support the Diocese and the Episcopal Urban Caucus. Please register and attend all or parts of the three days. Registration will be available online later in 2015 at the Episcopal Urban Caucus
