Managing Landscape Trees (Soldotna) 

Trees are the most valuable features in many landscapes, and clients have high expectations for their care. This class covers the most up-to-date research and industry standards for managing landscape trees.
Topics:
• Selecting and planting high quality trees;
• Pruning for good structure;
• Maintaining vigor;
• Managing common insect pests and diseases;
• Trees that can be invasive and weed management

Alaska Division of Forestry Community Forestry Program:

University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service:

  • Jessie Moan, Integrated Pest Management Technician.
  • Gino Graziano, Invasive Plants Instructor.

There will be time for discussion so please bring questions. A field session will follow the lectures, so dress for the weather.

No charge but registration is required and classroom space is limited.

Certificates of completion, Continuing Education Units for ISA Certified Arborists, ASLA and AK Certified Pesticide Applicators will be available.
