Each November comes and I search the skies, desperately looking for the sun!
Drop by The Wine Place where the sun is always shining and breathe in the aromas of wine when you walk through the door! This will surely help to make the month of November seem much brighter!
 
Take time to pause on November 11th  to remember our veterans plus the  men and women who continue to serve . If you love your freedom, wear a poppy, thank a Vet!   Let's Remember not to Forget! We truly live in a great country!

Recipe for November!
Spaghetti Squash Tetrazzini! 
-1 med Spaghetti Squash
-1/2 cup white wine (your choice!)
-1 tbsp olive oil
-2 cloves minced garlic
-1 pkg cremini mushrooms
-2 tbsp flour ,  1 tsp Basil
-1/8 tsp nutmeg,  1/2 tsp salt & pepper
-1 cup milk
-1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-2 med tomatoes sliced
-1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1) Slice squash in half.  Remove seeds and roast separately(place aside for now)
2) Cook squash halves, face down in 1 inch (2.5 cm) water in microwave  for 15 mins.  Scoop out the squash and place in bowl, adding wine.
3) Heat olive oil over med. heat adding mushrooms, garlic; cook 4 minutes.  Add flour, basil, salt & pepper and nutmeg.
4) Stir in milk and cook until sauce thickens.  Remove from heat and stir in mozzarella. 
5) Combine above with squash mixture and place in 8 inch pan. Top with tomatoes, parmesan and seeds.
Bake 10-15 minutes at 450.  Enjoy!!


 
Enjoy a glass of Pinot Noir and put on a fire while this truly scrumptious meal is being prepared! :)
