Mass MoCA's Assets for Artists

The Southeastern CT Cultural Coalition is proud to announce that we are one of three regions in the state partnering with Mass MoCA's Assets for Artists to bring their Matched Savings Program to CT.

Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art ( Mass MoCA) in North Adams, MA is a multi-disciplinary arts center occupying a 16-acre, 25-building former factory campus in a struggling former mill town.  MASS MoCA is about nourishing new ideas and innovation, both in the arts and in economic development.

Since 2008, Mass MoCA's Assets for Artists has enrolled 200+ artists in four northeastern states in their matched savings program. Together their participating artists are creating $700,000+ in seed capital to invest in their creative futures.

Last month, along with others, Southeastern CT Cultural Coalition attended a meeting with Julia Wilcox of CT Nonprofits, Kristina Newman-Scott and Office of the Arts staff to discuss the formation of a legislative arts caucus.
