2015 Scorecard for Torrance Representatives Announced
Every year TACC tracks the votes of its elected officials in Sacramento. Once all votes are counted, TACC determines the percentage of votes that were in agreement with positions taken by the Chamber. This year's results are below:

State Senator Isadore Hall, III (35th District) - 35%
State Senator Benjamin Allen (26th District) - 33%
     Assemblyman David Hadley (66th District) - 93%

Any vote by a Legislator either within committee or on the floor during the life of a bill that TACC has taken position on is subject to being counted. The Chamber bases its decisions towards policy positions on its 2015 Legislative Platform. Many positions the Chamber takes are part of a larger coalition between businesses in the South Bay and partners statewide. TACC also takes positions independently on items brought to the Chamber that affect specific industries and/or specific TACC members.

Over 300 people packed the banquet hall at the Double Tree Hotel for Torrance Mayor Patrick Furey's second annual State of the City Address. During the address, Mayor Furey made two big revelations. First, the City of Torrance is looking at options to have a red car trolley service throughout the city. Second, the fourth of July Fireworks show, which was stopped in 2011, will come back to Torrance next year. Mayor Furey also provided updates on on-going economic development efforts within the city and informed the community on current and forecasted projects. The event ended with the Torrance Chamber's "Distinguished Citizen of the Year" award presentation to De De Hicks, president and CEO of the Volunteer Center.
TACC took some great photos at the event, check them out here.
