Parish Pilgrimage to Easter Vigil
Hello,
On March 16, your Vestry made a bold decision. After reviewing the plans for Holy Week and learning our Presiding Bishop will be at the National Cathedral to preach at the Easter Vigil, we agreed it would be exciting to make a parish pilgrimage to the Cathedral to experience an Easter Vigil with our own bishop, the Rt. Rev. Mariann Budde and the Most Rev. Michael Curry!
We invite you to join us and other Epiphany members as we prayerfully journey to the National Cathedral on
Saturday, March 26
. Together, we will experience the Cathedral's beautiful liturgy, be inspired by Bishop Curry's preaching, and witness Easter joy that we will in turn share with all.
A caravan of cars will leave Epiphany at
6:30pm
, for the
8:00pm
service. If it's easier for you to drive directly to the Cathedral, we will meet you at the Abraham Lincoln statue inside the nave doors. We want to experience the joy of common worship together.
More information about the Cathedral's Easter Vigil service can be found
here
. Epiphany will obtain a block of tickets. Please RSVP to Catherine at
[email protected]
with the number of passes you need and indicate if you will need a ride. We will return to Epiphany following the service for anyone who needs to hop on Metro or retrieve their car.
In eager anticipation of our sacred journey from Jerusalem toward the empty tomb,
