The students decided to go camping at Turkey Run State Park instead of visiting Chicago. More information to follow.

Larry Niegowski, of The Upchurch Group, discussed the work of architects, engineers and surveyors that work in their office. Much of their work is writing contracts and administration of projects. Licenses and certifications for the professionals were also reviewed.

Kim Leftwich, President and CEO, discussed the advances in the energy industry. GIS and other technology is making it quicker and easier to read meters, make repairs and installments. They are building out their own Internet system for their rural customers.
Sam Adair led the tour and discussed the day-to-day operations of keeping our electric power up and running. He also noted that there are many opportunities in the future in for IT specialists in the industry. 

They provide service to 10,000 members covering an 8 county region.
