Oski Awards
Wednesday, May 4th, 2016 (7-9PM) in Pauley Ballroom
WHAT ARE THE OSKIES?
An annual awards ceremony for student organizations, including more than ten awards (some with funding attached!) for publications and media groups. Stay tuned for more information on applications!
Hosted by the Publications and Media Center and the LEAD Center
|
|
As stated above, the Oski Awards are coming up! We need your help and input to make it happen.
PMC would like a student media org to create two ~1-minute preview videos of the
Oski
nominees to be played at the Oskis Award Ceremony right before they announce best overall publication and best film / video. (Imagine something similar to the preview video they play to recap Best Picture Nominees at the Oscars). The org will be paid $400. For more info, please look at our Request for Proposals.
Apps are out! We're accepting applications until April 8th. Click
here to apply

PMC Staff Spotlight: Spandana Singh (aka Spandi)
|
Spandi is our 3rd-year PMC Supervisor, and she has a lot on her plate. She is a
Double Major in Development Studies and Media Studies, and she minors in Global Poverty and Practice. She also has a Certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship. She likes travelling, playing the piano, boxing, and going to music festivals. One thing not many people know about her is that she lived in six cities in five countries. What a busy gal. Her recommended campus publication is Berkeley Student Journal of Asian Studies - it highlights a spectrum of topics related to Asia and the team is composed of a diverse group of students who all bring something interesting to the table.
