Graduation testing is changing in Ohio. The current seniors and juniors have to meet all the course requirements but also have to pass the Ohio Graduation Tests (OGT).  Current sophomores and freshmen however, must complete all the course requirements and earn graduation points by taking seven end-of-course tests in English 9 & 10, Algebra I, Geometry, Biology, American History, and American Government.  Each test is graded on a scale of 1 - 5 (5 being the highest) and students must accumulate at least 18 points in order to qualify for graduation.  The end-of-course tests are taken in April of the year the student is taking the specified courses.

Each end-of-course test consists of two 90-minute sections and will be taken online.  As these are very important tests for students, CJ wants to minimize distractions and provide the students with an atmosphere conducive to testing.  In order to accommodate the students taking these tests and to allow learning to be as uninterrupted as possible, CJ is going to employ several different schedules during the month of April.  While only freshmen and sophomores are taking these tests, all students will be affected by the schedule changes.

Click here to see the schedule changes for April. On days when there are two-hour delays, the cafeteria will be open for students who are not testing and arrive before  10:00 a.m.  All schedule changes have been posted in the school calendar section of the CJ website as well as the CJ Student News website.
