Parnes Hayom

Friday, March 11 / 1 Adar II was sponsored by Amy and Chanan Vogel for the refuah sheleimah of Rabbi Adler, Harav Yosef Zev ben Shprintza, and uncle Zvi Elchanon ben Tziporah Pesha. May they have a refuah sheleimah.

Thursday, March 17 / 7 Adar II was sponsored by   Sari and Yaakov Sheinfeld and  Mugsy and Yudy Sheinfeld  in memory of  Shmuel Moshe ben Meir Halevy z''l  on the occasion of his second yahrtzeit, Zaidie of Carly (7 G2), Eytan (5A), Jordy (5A), Binyamin (3B) and Yonah (KC) Sheinfeld.  May today's learning be a zechut for the aliyah of his neshama.

Parnes Hayom is an opportunity to dedicate a day, week or month of Torah study at Yeshivat Noam. Sponsorships may be in honor of a special individual or occasion, in memory of a dear friend or loved one, a birth, annniversary, birthday, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, graduation, wedding, or yahrtzeit. Parnes Hayom is also a meaningful way to pray for a refuah sheleimah, or mark any other significant milestone.

For future sponsorship opportunities please contact Amy Vogel, Director of Development at [email protected] or (201) 261-1919 x126 or click here to submit your sponsorship.

Community Announcements

Dear Teach NJS Partner,

Please urge Governor Chris Christie  to give all students the same state funding for security, nursing aid, technology and textbooks in his fiscal 2016-17 budget, regardless of what kind of school they attend.

Increased state funding for our children's education and services is possible, and necessary to mitigate the day school tuition crisis.

Currently, each non-public school student receives only $198 from the State of New Jersey for educational programs and services, which is far below the $20,000 average cost to New Jersey taxpayers for each public school student. The funding that the state has budgeted for fiscal year 2015-2016 doesn't provide children who don't go to public schools the basic services necessary for our children to succeed, including adequate security during these very dangerous times.

Our children's safety and basic learning tools are no less important than those who attend public school. There should be no difference in the security and services funding they receive.

To effectively advocate for this legislation, we need EVERY member of our community to take two minutes to send an email to Governor Christie.

These two minutes could help bring in millions of dollars of much needed services and equipment to our schools.

Please don't miss this opportunity to make a difference. We do not need hundreds of emails. We need thousands of emails. Only as a confident, determined group can we make this happen.

Please forward this email to your friends, your fellow school parents and your shul members. The success that we can achieve by working TOGETHER over the next two weeks is crucial for both our schools and our children.

Thank you,
