MARCH 2016

Members and friends,

Although February is usually a quiet time for us here at the Chamber, it has ended up being a very busy time. We have a few events in the works taking place over the next few months.

On March 31st at the United Way Learning Centre on Main Street, we are holding a Lunch and Learn on "Social Enterprise". Thank you to Deborah Smith from the Aboriginal Business Service Network for sponsoring this event. Mother Earth Recycling will be featured. For those of you who are not familiar with what they do please  click here for an article in the Metro News.

On May 26th, the Aboriginal Chamber will be hosting a Luncheon on Aboriginal Procurement featuring JP Gladu, President & CEO of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business. Presentations by provincial and federal representatives will also take place at the Delta Winnipeg. To register click here .

As well, we have begun accepting registration, sponsorship and prize donations for our 10th Aboriginal Chamber Golf Tournament. If you would like to have your company represented on this fun day,  please visit the link for more information.  www.aboriginalchamber.ca/golftournament2016 .

I am so happy to announce that Darion Smith, our summer student from this past year, will be returning to our office as a student intern in May. Darion's intern is part of her requirements for her studies at the University of Manitoba! Darion did some great work with us in the past and will be kept very busy! Welcome back Darion!
