HONORS FROM SLINGSHOT
We are delighted that, as in previous years, CAJM member museums are represented in the Slingshot Class of 2016, a designation given to organizations that, in the opinion of the jurors, are "driving the future of Jewish life and engagement by motivating new audiences to participate in their work and responding to the needs of individuals and communities - both within and beyond the Jewish community." The Contemporary Jewish Museum was featured in the select group of 50, and Mayyim Hayyim Living Waters was honored in a supplement devoted to women and girls. Yasher koach to these two - and congratulations to some other deserving colleagues on the list: Art Kibbutz, Asylum Arts, Reboot, and Sixth and I Historic Synagogue.

A CONFERENCE WITH AN UNCONFERENCE
If you've been browsing through the conference program, you'll have noticed one new feature: the "Unconference." This segment will be devoted to audience-generated conversations and content, giving attendees an opportunity,
on the conference's final day, to engage with colleagues on themes and lingering questions.
 Registrants are invited to propose a topic for an "Unconference" session until the deadline on
Monday, March 21 at 2 p.m. All submissions must be submitted through
this online form. There will be an in-person vote among the submissions on Monday at 4:30 p.m., and the facilitators of the selected topics will be notified that evening. "Unconference" sessions will commence at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22. (Please only submit a proposal if you will be available to facilitate a session.)

TAKE ACTION IN SUPPORT OF MUSEUM FUNDING
Periodically we remind members of the tools that the American Alliance of Museums provides to help organize your lobbying efforts. Museums Advocacy Day took place last month, but right now is the most critical time to encourage representatives in Congress to support funding to the IMLS Office of Museum Services.
