THE PRAIRIE PRESS
March 16, 2016

Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff,

After many months of researching, organizing and planning, we are thrilled to unveil the final celebrations planned to commemorate Prairie's 150th year.

Old-fashioned class projects, reading Little House on the Prairie and experiencing the One Room Schoolhouse were just the beginning.

We hope you and your student enjoy stepping back into our school's past and helping us write the next chapter of Prairie.

Sincerely,

Prairie 150th Anniversary Planning Committee

150th Anniversary Celebration Week 5/9-5/13

We've planned fun activities each day leading up to the weekend of the Open House and Fair to get students and staff into the 150th spirit:
  • Monday, 5/9 - 150th Birthday Party
  • Wednesday, 5/11 - Wear any hat from the last century
  • Friday, 5/13 - Walk to school dressed as a Pioneer, then One Room Schoolhouse breakout from 1:15-3:00pm
Start gathering your hats and piecing together your Pioneer attire - this week will be a fitting tribute to Prairie's next chapter!

Join us for the 5/13 Open House event from 5:00-8:00pm

Students, parents, alumni and the community are welcome to attend! Tour the school, enjoy dessert and visit with teachers and alumni.
