Mayors of Tenafly, Dumont, and Fort Lee shared their views on common community issues in Bergen County. The topics of discussion included: property taxes, transportation, and
sign ordinances. The 2016 Good Neighbor Award was given to Robert Russo from Russo Real Estate for his commitment and dedication to his community and the Ed Lucas foundation. The foundation provides hope, opportunity, and independence for the blind and disabled.

North Jersey casino debate heats up
The operator of the Meadowlands Racetrack clashed Thursday with opponents of the plan to allow two casinos in North Jersey, telling them, "you guys are nuts" to oppose the November ballot proposal that would divert up to $200 million in annual casino tax revenue toward non-gambling development in Atlantic City.

Rutherford Planning Board forwards scaled-back redevelopment proposal to council
Responding to apprehension expressed by local residents and business owners, the Rutherford Planning Board modified its proposal to designate a nearly two-block neighborhood centered on Agnew Place as area in need of redevelopment.
