Therapeutics

Family Luau Party
Hang Ten, Dude! Join Recreation and Athletics for Individuals with Disabilities (RAD) on Saturday, June 18 as they catch the wave and ride it into the annual Family Luau Party.  Throw on your loudest Hawaiian attire and limbo down to Hamilton Aquatic Center from 6:30 to 9 p.m. for an island-inspired dinner and fun-filled evening of dancing and swimming. Don't de-lei register today! This free family event requires pre-registration.

Preschool

Building Blocks Preschool Program
Building the foundation of your child's classroom experience, Building Blocks balances traditional kindergarten prep activities with a play-based curriculum where kids get plenty of outside time. Each week offers a variety of creative arts, math, science and language arts activities. Classes are available at the Chandler Community Center (now offering Saturday classes), Snedigar Recreation Center and Tumbleweed Recreation Center. Youth

Outdoor Cooking at the EEC
Omelette in a bag or Coffee Can Cake, anyone? It's time to get creative and culinary with our fun outdoor cooking classes. Get immersed in a resourceful cooking experience by joining us at the Environmental Education Center for one or all three classes: Roast It On A Stick, Dutch Oven Over Charcoal and Omelette In A Bag. You and your kiddos will learn to use a variety of cooking techniques. All food and equipment is provided.

Teen

Teen Triathlon Club
Lace up your sneakers it's time to get running! Join the Teen Triathlon Club to learn the proper process of training for a triathlon. This total body workout focuses on competition, boxing, endurance and fitness longevity techniques.  If you're a teen and have hopes of competing in a triathlon, marathon, or even the Olympics, the Chandler Community Center is the perfect place to hit the ground running.

Adult

Train Like a Firefighter
Train like firefighters do! Taught by a Chandler firefighter the Firefighter Fitness class will take you through physical drills that simulate activities performed by firemen and focus on:  integrated movement patterns, agility, functional strength and core stability. This total body workout at Tumbleweed Recreation Center will test your fitness level and teach you to survive under extreme conditions just like our firefighters do every day.

Active Adult

Musical Instrument Museum
Get out and be social! Join the Chandler Senior Center Site Council Saturday, June 25 at the MIM for a celebration of the lives and legacies of Johnny Cash and June Carter. Come and hear gallery talks, test your knowledge of Carter/Cash trivia in the popular MIMQuiz activity, view a film screening, and more! Trip departs from the Chandler Senior Center.
